Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DOCSIS Engineer with strong application development expertise to support the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of broadband network solutions and related applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DOCSIS technologies, cable modem provisioning, CMTS systems, and the ability to build and maintain software tools that enhance network operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and optimize DOCSIS-based broadband networks, including CMTS and cable modems.
Support deployment, provisioning, and troubleshooting of DOCSIS 2.0/3.0/3.1/4.0 technologies.
Develop and maintain internal tools, applications, and automation scripts to support network operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software solutions for device management, monitoring, and analytics**.
Analyze network performance data and create dashboards or apps for reporting and insights.
Participate in integration of DOCSIS systems with OSS/BSS applications.
Ensure network stability, reliability, and scalability through code and configuration improvements.
Write technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience working with DOCSIS technologies, CMTS platforms (Cisco, Arris, Casa, Harmonic), and cable modem provisioning.

Strong understanding of DOCSIS protocols, SNMP, DHCP, TFTP, RADIUS, IPv4/IPv6 networking.

Hands-on development experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.

Experience building automation tools, APIs, microservices, or network management applications.

Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of packet capture tools like Wireshark.

Experience integrating with OSS/BSS systems, provisioning systems, or device activation flows.

Demonstrated expertise with ACS Adapter technologies and their application in device management and activation.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of PNM (Proactive Network Maintenance).
Certifications in networking or cable technologies (CCNA, CCNP, SCTE) is a plus.
