Title: Smalltalk Programming Language Engineer/Developer Location: Dallas, TX     A Smalltalk Programming Language Engineer/Developer specializes in building, maintaining, and optimizing software using the Smalltalk language, known for its pure object-oriented design and reflective capabilities. Role Overview This role focuses on developing robust applications in Smalltalk environments, often for enterprise systems, legacy migrations, or innovative projects requiring dynamic typing and OOP principles. Engineers collaborate with teams to translate business needs into scalable code while ensuring performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, debug, and optimize Smalltalk applications, including integration with third-party APIs.​ Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation; mentor juniors and resolve defects. Follow Agile processes, adhere to SOLID principles, and contribute to project planning and delivery. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 3-10+ years in Smalltalk and OOP languages.
